To sell Thiochemical products (DMDS and DMS) and Carelflex® Injection Services to the Steam Cracking and Refinery Markets in North America. The scope of the position starts with securing the specification, and ends with the timely collection of outstanding receivables. This specifically includes product and service specification work with the end-user (refinery), customer management, price negotiation, contract negotiation, forecasting and delivery co-ordination, technical service resolution, development of competitive intelligence and market awareness.
o Customer site visits for relationship development
o Organization of appropriate entertainment events for decision makers, and influencers of catalyst activation technology selection
o Relevant trade / association meetings
30% Non-travel customer contact & industry awareness
o Customer relationship development and maintenance via teleconference
o Gathering of competitive intelligence from primary sources and trade journals.
15% Co-ordination of product delivery with Supply Chain, Reconciliation of Invoicing, Accounts Receivable Support.
5% Report writing and administration
o Documenting customer visits and market intel in short call reports.
o Timely processing of T&E reports
5% Travel planning to maximize customer contact within specified travel budget limits.
5% Communication with Market Manager for SRP for consolidation of market information.
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical field of study.
Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience selling to technical field. Prior experience within a refinery or large industrial environment preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills, sense of humor and ability to connect at all levels of an organization necessary.
