With excellent sales momentum and aggressive growth plans, the company is looking for an experienced Sr. Accounting Manager to lead our Accounting " Finance Teams. Fitbit ’s flagship product is the Fitbit Tracker, an ultra-compact activity monitor that accurately tracks full day ’s steps, distance, elevation, calories, and quality of sleep via 3-D motion sensors.

It ’s small and discreet enough to wear all day in your pocket, on your waist or on undergarments. The Tracker then wirelessly auto-uploads data to, where you can see graphs of your activity, set goals, and measure progress, as well as create online fitness groups for support or friendly competition. And we are hiring! Responsibilities: Responsible for monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting consolidation and close.

Prepare monthly reporting package. Manage accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, revenue recognition, taxes, and cost accounting. Responsible for timely and accurate filing of sales tax returns. Develop and maintain financial projections that are consistent with organizational goals.

Manage planning, reporting, and analysis for new products and projects Identify and implement metrics to measure business results and success. Drive process improvements and system implementations within the finance function. Minimum Requirements: A desire to work in a fast-paced environment; a track record of success in prioritizing, multi-tasking, and consistently meeting deadlines with a high quality of work. Bachelor ’s Degree in accounting or finance 5+ years ’ work experience in finance/accounting.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Strong organizational skills. Team player and ability to work independently. Familiar and comfortable with start-up/high growth environment.

Revenue accounting experience in a technology company with sales into retail sector. Experience in inventory and cost accounting. Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills, and the maturity to work comfortably with senior management and across a multi-cultural organization. Excellent financial modeling skills and a high-level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Access.
