The Model Product Management (MPM) Analytics team at RMS is responsible
for the commercial success of current and future models. To that end,
the group works with both external clients and internal developers to
provide the linkage necessary between features the market requires and
specifications needed for development. The MPM team also works with our
marketing and account management teams to enable accurate inbound market
feedback and to provide appropriate collateral for outbound market
Within MPM lies the Model Certification group which is
responsible for certifying models and features related to all perils
and regions. This includes the RMS financial model, uncertainty
modeling, overall model framework, and others. This includes analysis of
large notional and client data sets to measure loss changes and
sensitivity to different parameters, with an end goal to support model
Objective of Position:
As an analyst within this
team, your job will be to assist with all projects related to model
releases. You will work closely with other analysts, model certification
engineers and model managers by executing the analytical work required
and ultimately reporting results to decision makers involved in the
model management process. This will involve proficiency in working with
both current and new products. The results from your work will then be
used to make key decisions related to model certification and releases.
It will also provide valuable input into proposed models and features to
be developed in future.
Key Accountabilities and Deliverables:
Become a proficient user of our current portfolio management software product – RiskLink.
Become a proficient user of our next generation portfolio management product suite – RMS(one).
Keep up to date on current model capabilities and methodologies so that analytics are executed and communicated appropriately.
Develop efficient methods, scripts and tools for executing and
reporting large-scale analysis work. Support ad-hoc analysis work
required by all groups within the MPM team.
