LGI Network, a division of The NPD Group, is a leading market research company serving the luxury goods industry and provides critical information on what products are selling in the marketplace. The Senior Application Developer meets with the management team to identify and create new applications, create database models, build web front ends, build ETL applications for raw data, remediate existing code and validate code produced by peers. You will deal with all kinds of interesting consumer purchase data which is processed in our proprietary system into reports and business insights for our prestigious clients. Your understanding of the data will help our growing team achieve its ambitious goals.

Qualifications:

The position requires a background in application development. We are looking for a self-starter who is detail oriented and can meet deadlines and communicates effectively with customers and other peers at a technical level. You will need to be able to understand business concepts / requirements, conceive practical solutions, and create deliverables to meet these needs. This position also requires the ability to translate technical concepts to others who are less technically savvy.

• 5-10+ years of work experience in a software development field.
• Expert level knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office, SQL databases, SAS databases, ASP, Crystal Reports/Enterprise, HTML, ASP.NET, VB.NET, ETL tools, and FTP.
• Knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) computer systems a plus.
• BA/BS with a focus of Computer Science or Engineering
