This position works as part of a project team to gather business requirements and create functional specifications needed to develop software applications that meet or exceed customer expectations. Work primarily on more complex, high stakes projects or projects new to the company or division. They may also coach, mentor or provide work direction to lower level analysts.
Lead or work as part of a project team to meet or exceed customer expectations
Offer new opportunities to customers to enhance projects
Follow and demonstrate an understanding of adopted processes/methodologies
Recommend new processes to improve effectiveness
Research, recommend and design tools used for requirements gathering
Analyze and gather business requirements from internal/external customers for assigned projects.
Document detailed business requirements, create functional specifications, and produce additional documentation required by approved methodology.
Communicate with internal/external customers regarding status of project deliverables
(Add) Represent DRC and act as a key resource/liaison to internal and external customers.
Function as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) between the customer and DRC teams.
Work with SQA to plan and implement user acceptance testing
Create training materials and provide training to system users
Provide work direction, assignments and training to others
Coach and mentor others
Identify changes in scope as they occur and notify appropriate team members
Estimate hours needed to complete assigned project and identify areas of concern
Provide input into schedules and prioritize workloads and resources
Ensure deliverables are produced according to costumer specifications.
Consistently identify solutions to solve problems, improve processes, meet customer requests, and provide DRC with a competitive edge.
Perform other duties as needed
High school diploma and equivalent work experience required
5+ years business analysis experience
Demonstrated understanding of requirements gathering tools/techniques
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to lead projects and give work direction to others
Ability to work successfully both independently and in teams
Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
