The Sr Consumer Insights Manager at Booyah w ill be responsible for owning consumer insights across the organization and will work in partnership across the business to develop and execute best in class market research. The primary responsibility for this position is leading, managing and executing market research . This role will report into the Sr Dir of Analytics and Research.


  • Design and conduct exploratory user studies, including surveys, field studies, ethnographies , focus groups, concept testing, messaging tests an d brand tracking studies
  • Collaborate with product, design , user experience and marketing teams to develop research plans and define an d prioritize research questions
  • Effectively communicate research findings, and make and defend recommendations, across o rganization
  • Drive product and marketing improvements in collaboration wit h cross-functional stakeholders
  • Work with Analysts to tie qualitative data with game play data to draw inferences about player personas and personality profiles
  • Manage outside research projects from inception to conclusion, including managing RFP processes, recommending appropriate methodologies, and managing vendor relationships to produce reports meeting desired information objectives
  • Identify and synthesize secondary research to complement primary research

  • At least 5-10 years experience in conducting market research using multiple research methods including knowledge of a wide range of research methods and techniques such as field research, creation of user personas, participatory design and survey design
  • BA/BS or MS degree preferred in experimental psychology, cognitive science, anthropology, human computer interaction, computer science, information science or related field. PhD preferred
  • Ability to apply advanced research methods and develop comprehensive reports from large, complex data sets as well as applying and performing regression, conjoint and segmentation utilizing advanced analysis techniques
  • Experience researching user needs throughout the entire product development cycle: Must be skilled at conducting research early in the product development process, with a proven record of informing the product direction and strategy
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor in the short term and hire and manage a team in the long term
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with focus on timelines and cost
  • Ability to analyze social media data to draw appropriate conclusions about our consumer base
  • A proactive, strategic thinker who understands research, has proven experience and success managing large-scale research projects
  • Must be organized, able to act independently and able to switch rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced and exciting environment
  • Strong statistical analyses background using tools such as SAS, SPSS or R.
  • Consulting background a huge plus
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
