The Sr. Copywriter is responsible for creating/developing original copy for all Company marketing materials, website content, customer email communication, corporate materials, white papers, print collateral, social media content, point-of-sale, ecommerce, direct mail and related projects. The ideal candidate will be able to develop ideas for original content, deliver consistent messaging/brand voice across media, provide a convicted point of view on messaging and deliver that content in a clear and concise manner. This position requires a high-energy, self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with extensive marketing and corporate copywriting experience.
Write creative and standard product copy; maintaining spelling, punctuation and other quality and formatting standards
Constantly measures messaging and execution against brand positioning and visual/voice of customer brand standards
Assist with establishing creative standards/copy style guides and formats and ensure adherence to those standards in all produced work
Serve as a liaison between Marketing, Product, and Merchandising staff to ensure new or modified language fulfills business objectives and speaks the customer’s language
Work with Product Management, Online Marketing and Operations teams to develop copy for presentations and collateral
Ensures that all produced elements are meaningful to the customer, are compelling, and are in alignment with the marketing and business strategies
Develops and implements assigned projects within given calendar and timeframe; accountable to meet deadlines
Assists marketing team in strategy development, communication and presentation of strategies and concepts to management and necessary stakeholders
Seeks ways to improve processes/efficiencies and quality of output within functional area
Flexible in responding to organizational changes and business priorities.
Versed in creating online content that maximizes SEO benefit and follow a test, learn and optimize strategy to strengthen search benefit while retaining customer engagement
Manage multiple projects
Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Screenwriting, Advertising, Marketing or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience working in graphic design field
Solid portfolio of creative ideas
Strong attention to detail and organized
Exceptional writing skills (from long form to headlines)
Ability to write in a range of styles capturing necessary tone and voice
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment
Ability to thrive in a team environment with solid collaboration and communication skills
