At Tocquigny, the role of digital strategy focuses on the intersection of brand strategy ; integrated offline and online user behavior; user experience, creative concepting; and technology. It requires a fundamental understanding of all consumer engagement phases, including: building brand advocacy, driving conversion and strengthening consumer loyalty through community networks.
In this role, the digital strategist will work closely with the client and Tocquigny’s cross-discipline leads (client engagement, strategy & brand planning, user experience, creative and technology) to provide a recommended digital strategy, and then, oversee program execution to ensure the initiatives meets the objectives of the strategy.
The digital strategist must also be a strong team leader with a motivating work ethic and analytical mindset, working in partnership with clients and internal stakeholders to develop best-in-class deliverables commensurate with Tocquigny’s standards of creating innovative digital solutions with flawless execution.
Lead client and internal work sessions to identify unmet business needs, opportunities and challenges
Conduct audits of a client’s digital eco-system, including digital platforms, digital assets and social media channels
Conduct competitive analysis and/or heuristic evaluations of existing features/functionality
Ideate and participate in internal brainstorms with MKTG’s capability leads and vendor partners
User Insight Development
Expand upon target insights to develop behavior-based user insights within the digital landscape, including lifestyle need states and device usage
Leverage interviews, social listening tools, online analytics, ethnographic research, consumer surveys or CRM data to develop segmentation profiles or user personas
The Digital Strategy
Partner with the client and Tocquigny’s client engagement, strategy, brand planning, and creative teams, articulate the strategic approach, content strategy and measurement strategy to support the overarching creative concept or campaign platform
Develop a digital communications platform with recommended messaging schedule, tactics and measurement plan
Collaborate with Tocquigny’s creative and user experience teams to augment client proposals with digital concept extensions and identify digital scope parameters
Execution and oversee implementation of The Digital Strategy:
Oversee and manage digital process per approved digital strategy and communications plan , including: content creation process, coordination of editorial calendars and publish/posting timelines
Conduct vendor outreach to identify the best fit for program initiatives
Manage vendor relationships and oversee quality assurance throughout duration of program
Monitor, report and analyze social media activity, then present findings internally & externally
Optimize and monitor trends in client’s market and appropriately adjust messaging strategy or timelines
Serve as primary client engagement digital lead, accountable for all-things digital
Serve as knowledgebase for Tocquigny’s library of digital solutions across offices and client accounts
Provide ongoing internal or client reporting on innovative insights or industry trends relevant to Tocquigny’s suite of capabilities
Lead internal or external training/educational sessions on relevant topics
Desired Skills & Experience
Qualifications/Requirements—before any resumes will be considered, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
10+ years as a client-facing, digital strategist within agency environments, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams of 8-15 individuals.
Proven track record of developing long-term relationships with clients through gaining trust and successful delivery.
Demonstrated experience directing integrated offline-online projects for Fortune 500 clients/high-profile brands.
Excellent interpersonal, written, communication, and cross-disciplinary team collaboration skills.
Superior client presentation and communication skills, demonstrating expertise in digital planning and strategy.
Expertise in data analytics and data tracking tools (e.g. MS Excel, Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, reporting management dashboards, etc.).
Demonstrated expertise in all facets of digital service channel offerings at Tocquigny.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
