The Sr Director of Marketing and Communications will be r esponsible for the development and management of overall strategic direction for internal/external marketing, communication and public relations efforts for the Western Division. Develop and ensure effective implementation of short and long term programs. Cultivate external print and electronic media sources and enhance American Red Cross brand and image. Manage marketing, public relations and communications to achieve annual collection goals for both allogeneic and specialized donations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in marketing, public relations, communications or related field, or equivalent combination of related education and experience is required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum ten years of progressively responsible marketing, public relations or communications management experience including seven years of supervisory experience is required.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively, assimilate information quickly, analyze problems and implement appropriate solutions are required. Ability to provide strategic leadership while developing a high-functioning team is required. Exceptional interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of staff, media, volunteers, donors and public and excellent written and oral communication and interpretation skills are required.
