Position Summary: The Sr. Director, Corporate Development will serve as primary deal lead on M&A, joint ventures, and strategic alliances with a heavy focus on the Specialty Pharma business. This role will work closely with Senior Management and the Divisional deal teams to identify, source, analyze, and close potential deals in support of an aggressive external growth agenda.
Clearly translate the Corporate Strategy into actionable and creative deal opportunities to create value for Impax
Identify and pursue partnering and M&A opportunities
Leverage existing relationships and build new relationships within the Specialty Pharma business
Develop and implement negotiation strategies and tactics to deliver value for Impax while building the companies external reputation
Lead the day-to-day management of the deal process internally and externally
MBA or advanced degree preferred; Science education background in areas directly relevant to the Pharmaceutical industry highly desired
10-15 years of experience in Business Development roles and/or top tier Investment Banking firms focused on Specialty Pharma transactions - THIS IS REQUIRED FOR CONSIDERATION.
Demonstrated pharmaceutical deal making experience in M& A and/or licensing
Strategic thinker, able to identify creative ways to find opportunities and create corresponding deal structures that maximize value creation potential
Proven experience as primary negotiator on pharmaceutical transactions
Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment and lead cross functional teams
A team oriented player with a strong work ethic and an ability to focus efforts and motivate teams during intense project based activities
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Deep knowledge of Corporate Finance
Willing to travel up to 50%
