Requires a moderate understanding of Federal records management practices and regulations and Agency regulations and guidelines. Individuals must have a minimum of two (2) years of Agency/IC experience, and an excellent understanding of the Agency/IC organization and functions. Strong critical thinking skills and ability to accurately disposition Agency records in accordance with Federal records management practices and Agency regulations and guidelines. Excellent interpersonal/customer service skills. Strong verbal, communications, and writing skills. Specific Job Description Lockheed Martin is looking for a Document Control Specialist to join our team in Herndon, VA. The ideal candidate shall support the full scope of records (hardcopy and electronic documents, microfilm, microfiche) collection and management that adhere to classification policy. This position includes the following functions:
Conduct inventories of inactive records collection for application of the Records Control Schedule (RCS) and sort temporary records and permanent records; Screen and dispose, in accordance with Agency policy and procedures, of non-record material and records exceeding their retention; Preserve documents of permanent or historic value; Retire inactive permanent and temporary records to the Archive Center; Enter all metadata in the records retirement database; Perform ad hoc records duties as assigned.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Standard Job Description Maintains central, controlled supply of classified and unclassified documents originating within the company. Reviews documents to determine pre-established classification level based on contracts or security manual, distribution requirements and processes distribution requests according to established procedures. Ensures generation of quality assurance checklist for product release packages in support of production schedules. May be required to maintain a secure, computerized document revision system, a periodic review system, and status tracking for all process-related documents and records. Security Clearance TS/SCI w/Poly Typical Minimums High School diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks and 5 Years or more of experience.
