Our electronics and systems engineering group includes electrical, electronic, mechanical, and software engineers. This position is based in Reading, PA.
This is a development engineering position and offers a significant opportunity for innovation and creativity. You will be working with a team introducing switch mode technology & latest state of the art in Electronic for use in motive power battery chargers. The initial project will involve studying then designing and implementing power converter circuit topologies/controls/firmware using a DSP “Digital Signal Processing” to perform
Digital driver for high speed converters ( >500kHz)
Scalable and flexible with various inputs voltages
Multi DSP Architecture: Design/Layout/Communication
Control and system modeling
C++, WinDev, Assembler
Network: CanBus, Modbus, OpenCAN, I 2 C
Wireless communicator (ZigBee, WiFi, RFID...)
Embedded firmware development
DSP and Real Time Operations Systems Development
Perform analysis and simulation using Matlab
Evaluate new technologies as they apply to existing functions
Collaborative Work in a Team Environment
Makes substantial contributions toward determination of project goal/objective feasibility

Applicants must have the following minimum education, skills, and work experience
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Design and Implementation of hardware and/or software in the power conversion.
Good understanding of power systems and/or energy management systems.
Good Programming skills in C, C++, Matlab
Strong background and experience in DSP and Real Time Operations Systems Development
Embedded software development
Minimum of two to five years relevant experience with DPS
Experience with configuration in hardware/software design and implementation.
Experience with implementation of signal processing algorithms on power converters
Leadership skills to drive projects to happen on time
Excellent knowledge with design and execution of approbations and international standards
Good technical problem solving skills
Required education, skills, and work experience:
PhD EE, MS EE with focus on DSP used on Power Electronics
Tools: MatLab & Simulink , Pspice, PSCAD, EMTP, etc.
Design of controller for power converters in the Telecom industry or similar
Strong Experience with DPS in power conversion “Mandatory”
Basic Knowledge of Power Quality issues: (Harmonics, imbalance, transients, etc.)
EMI testing and or design
Knowledge in digital controls and communications would be definitely advantagous
Working experience in multinational company is an advantage
