As a result, they are a leading global web services company with a substantial worldwide audience, a suite of powerful web brands and industry leading products. They are also one of the largest advertising networks in the United States.
Our client is looking to bring in top notch Senior Financial Analyst to assist with critical strategic priorities, particularly new user acquisition and investment guidance. This role will support operational reporting and analysis, partnership deal modeling for new and existing strategic opportunities and will be a critical part of the Audience Development Team through various types of analyses and recommendations. This is a full-time permanent position.
This team is a fast-paced and highly capable team that houses expertise across all key levels of traffic growth and retention--- SEO, Social, Paid Acquisition, Traffic Exchanges, and Newsletters etc. They collaborate with the companys entire portfolio of internet leading brands to help them build and engage new users to their sites in a cost effective, ROI positive manner. This team monitors performance, drive improvements, and share best practices to show measureable gains in audiences across the Network.
Coordinate with Product, Edit, Business Development, Advertising, etc. to develop comprehensive analyses around investment cases (e.g. LTV modeling/scenario analysis) to drive revenue/traffic
Optimize portfolio by allocating budget efficiently and provides smart investment guidance to acquire users/drive revenue
Effectively manage complex projects utilizing various statistical frameworks (i.e. Time-Series, Various Regression methodologies, Hypothesis Testing)
Conduct market/competitive research and analysis to understand current market trends; identify white space; and understand distribution opportunities/threats that could impact the company financially from a short-term and long-term perspective
Identify reporting needs for investment guidance and works with the business to recommend infrastructure solution/tracking mechanism
Develop a body of knowledge and experience to inform new analyses/reporting
Provide regular operational data and generate hypotheses, related back to current business issues, and make recommendations to various levels of management stakeholders
General experience: 2-4 years of directly related experience (or 1-2 years of directly related experience plus graduate degree) in areas of quantitative business analysis
Education: bachelors degree in Finance, Marketing, Economics, Mathematics or Engineering or equivalent is required
Understand P&L statements
Understand NPV and DCF Calculations
Technical Skills: proficient in MS Office (especially Excel)
Preferred (not required):
Industry experience: have industry experience in Internet or Online Media/Advertising Industry
Education: Graduate Degree (MBA/MS) in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Operational Research or Mathematics
Technical Skills: Experience in running SQL; experience with Omniture and comScore
