Servicing the General Manager for AMD, the Human Resources Business Partner will work across various geographies to develop, innovate, integrate and manage HR solutions that align with the organization’s business objectives. Primary areas of focus will include organization and leadership development, talent/performance management, change management, workforce and succession planning, and coaching (employee and manager).
Provide HR leadership and direction in support of business objectives; integrate the HR agenda into the business and across geographies to drive consistency and alignment
Develop and use deep business knowledge to leverage HR strategies and solutions that best meet business needs
Partner with the business to identify, develop and drive key Talent Management initiatives such as leadership development, talent/performance management, change management, workforce and succession planning, and coaching (employee and manager).
Partner with AMD General Manager on HR related issues, initiatives and program development
Build and nurture strong relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders; partner with colleagues inside and outside of HR to innovate, enhance, align and drive the effectiveness of HR initiatives
Represent employee, manager and corporate interests to influence and shape global HR agenda
Support the business on employee engagement and ensure leaders’ accountability for management and development of employees
Oversee employee relations at a high level, in tandem with ER experts
Lead pay-for-performance initiatives and partners with Management for salary planning, promotions, realignments to increase the business's effectiveness.
Undergraduate degree (preferably in Business Administration) or equivalent combination of years of experience and education; Masters degree an asset
Certified Human Resources Professional designation (CHRP) would be an asset
Skills and Experience
At least 7 years’ progressive experience within Human Resources
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working at the senior leadership level
Demonstrated ability to work in a global, matrix organization
Diversified knowledge of processes and programs such as organization development, change management, performance management, employee relations, compensation, training, and recruitment
The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, performance and results driven, dynamic, flexible and responsive to business needs/issues relevant to executing the business strategies
