As a strategic partner at Victor Technologies, HR's role is to support our people in alignment with business objectives. This position is responsible for the development, recommendation, and implementation of programs in the following functional areas: employee benefits, employee relations, training and internal communications. For this position, we require specific experience managing benefit programs.
Develop, recommend, and implement new or modified plans and administration of existing benefit plans.
Develop cost control procedures to assure maximum benefit coverage at the least possible cost to company and employee.
Respond to corporate and management requests for data, reports, and information relative to employee benefits or other HR metrics.
Handle benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution.
Develop and facilitate training and career development programs for the workforce.
Identify company-wide training needs for business as well as individual coaching needs.
Participate in evaluation and monitoring of the success of training programs.
Develop and write communications concerning Human Resources programs, policies and procedures.
Determine where and how incremental communication can enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the workforce.
Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Provide employee relation support to the Victor Technologies workforce.
Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in team and department.
Provide performance management guidance to management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, or related business administration field.
At least 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources with minimum of two years of benefits.
Strong written communication and executive level presentational skills.
Excellent verbal communications
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to provide HR Policy guidance and interpretation.
Strong understanding of HR metrics.
Proven ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex employee relations issues.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and assignments.
Excellent client management and business literacy skills.
JD Edwards skills preferred.
