Manage multiple teams of electrical engineers in the design and support of Cymer's EUV lithography systems. This includes the overall electrical and control system design of the complex subsystems comprising our EUV Source. In addition to the functional responsibilities, the position will be a focal point for innovation and cost reduction responsibilities and will be a key in leveraging outside design services.
Lead, manage and mentor the electrical engineering organization. This includes managing direct report managers.
Develops functional plans with staff for electrical development, and delivers HW EE subsystems.
Meets cost, schedule, resource, and functional program objectives.
Builds and maintains a high skill level in electrical engineering team.
Owns and effectively utilizes outsourced design services where appropriate.
Communicates status and progress according to established procedure (IDRs, BOW, WSR, Quarterly Reviews, PDP Reviews, etc.)
Allocates resources on a quarterly basis and responds to resource requirements on short notice.
Manages the HW EE process for experimental designs, technology development projects, and prototype modules for pre-release and DVT.
Represent HW EE in cross-functional meetings to maintain coordination between the Electrical and Controls Engineering and other organizations (Manuf, Test, and Procurement, …) including handoff to production.
Directly responsible for controller and platform electrical engineering sustaining of all Cymer products.
Requires minimum BS EE degree or equivalent. An advanced degree (Master's, PhD), in applicable field is preferred. Typically has 10+ years of direct work experience with 6+ years of management experience. Applies broad management skills and provides functional expertise/knowledge to less experienced managers and staff members.
Significant knowledge of current electrical engineering technologies and development practices.
Demonstrated ability to meet commitments and ensure work products are of high quality.
Apply management experience to successfully lead and schedule complex multifunctional, long term projects
Verifiable track record of successfully driving teams to achieve challenging commitments delivered with a sense of urgency
Sufficient technical capability to garner respect and support of high caliber technical contributors and managers – including solid foundation and experience with circuit design.
Successful track record aligning department objectives with corporate objectives.
Demonstrated ability to think and act both strategically and tactically as situations dictate.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Agile, and electronic e-mail systems.
Ability to translate data, statistically analyze data, and effectively report status through written and/or graphical formats.
Excellent customer service skills, with an advanced understanding of customer relationship building.
