POSITION PURPOSE -
Responsible for working directly with the Core Merchandising organization to ensure the consistent implemention of Merchandising strategy for the organization. Works directly with the leaders of the Rep Groups and Vendor Servicesleadership to drive synergy across the organization. This is the single point of contact for vendors, SSC and field
Merchandising contacts to drive accountability on service levels provided to the stores.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -
20% Collaborate with business leaders to determine priorities and ensure alignment
20% Partner with the Director and other leaders within Vendor Services leadership to appropriate define projects that directly address merchandising priorities.This role will own all process improvement projects to drive revenue and growth.
15% Responsible for the execution of store-level services and drive consistent communication across the Merchandising organization
15% Execute escalation process with the Merchandising organization (including reporting tool to monitor resolution) and work closely with appropriate business functions to drive execution.
15% Conduct gaps analysis to identify areas of opportunity, work with cross-functional partners to determine cost effective resolutions.
15% Review, monitor and communicate metrics and results. Responsible for the development and implementation of communication process for national merchandising programs

No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the technical leadership of a project work team: may select team members and assess capabilities, provide technical training, provide information necessary to meet work, project or program objectives, evaluate program or project performance.

EDUCATION REQUIRED -
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 5
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS -
Proven experience developing processes and executing programs at a national level. Experience managing complex businesses in a dynamic, fast-paced and progressive environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business
Proven ability to manage large scale projects in a complex environment
Leadership and management experience in retail industry
Previous experience managing supplier performance
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
