This position will be responsible for assisting the director with project leadership, strategic project planning, and management of specific contracts/programs operation and maintenance. The incumbent will supervise program or operational management staff and provide technical guidance to managers and staff related to the contract/program operations. Ensures contract deliverables are accurate and timely. This position will focus on medicaid business in the utilization review and management arena.
Assists director with planning all aspects of assigned health management programs, projects and/or contracts. Provides technical guidance as needed and ensures all issues are resolved accurately and timely. Serves as the operational liaison between the client, company and partners by providing continual status reports and resolving issues in a timely manner.
Selects, develops, and manages employees to achieve individual, team, and organizational success. Ensures employee accountability through routine observation, performance measurement and performance feedback. Fulfills Telligen’s Management Philosophy that "Managers coach, engage, and support our people to achieve results". Provides resources and support as needed to meet the specific contract/program requirements.
Ensures contract requirements and performance standards are met and
performed within prescribed budgetary requirements. Some programs maintain URAC Accreditation Continually assesses staffing levels in relation to contractual obligations. Provides recommendations to improve cost effectiveness and efficiency.
Stays abreast of industry trends, compliance regulations, state and federal mandates. Researches and makes recommendations for improvements and/or efficiencies to clients and management. Assists director in monitoring financial reports for revenue and expense management.
Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Type(s) of experience: Four year degree in business or health related field and /or equivalent training and/or experience; Some contracts may require current RN nursing licensure or current medical certification; 4-6 years experience in healthcare environment, including care management and/or health care quality improvement; 4-6 years experience managing a professional staff; demonstrated experience working in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
Certain positions may require advanced certifications or the ability to obtain certifications within 2 years.
Positions working on specific contracts may require U.S. Citizenship.
