Senior Manager of Human Resources

This new position will be a key member of the Human Resources department and support a multi-national client team. We need a technically-savvy Human Resources leader with deep and broad skills who can effectively build, implement and manage programs for a growing company with a broad geographical footprint. You will lead and/or participate in a variety of initiatives as we grow our people and leadership team, build a scalable infrastructure, and implement programs worldwide.

Manage a multi-national Human Resources Team to handle day-to-day HR issues and provide subject matter expertise on employee relations, compensation, performance management, training, development, benefits, leaves, compliance, reporting and other HR-related matters within budget guidelines. Provide service equitably to a geographically-dispersed population.

Serve as an escalation point for team members. Model the behaviors and values of our collaborative customer- and employee-oriented culture.

Develop and execute HR policies, processes and initiatives that support our HR and corporate objectives and meet our regulatory obligations. Work with leaders and others on talent management, systems, compensation, benefits, change and/or HR and leadership initiatives.

Foster effective communication between management and employees to promote employee success and engagement that drive delivery operations and profitability.

Lead local and international benefit initiatives such as selection and management of benefit plans, leaves of absence, workers compensation and safety programs that comply with local regulations and competitive market demands.

Lead compensation initiatives such as market analyses, survey participation, variable plan design, bonus administration, job design, career progression and competency system development and performance reviews.

Monitor and work with outside counsel to provide case management on complex leaves, job-related injury cases and employee relations legal issues.

Work with managers to define job content and career ladders and develop and implement performance standards for new and existing positions. Assess and consult on individual, team and management development needs and plans; may develop and/or deliver training.

Provide analytics and recommendations on improving company retention, geographic pay rate ratios and HRIS system.

Research and setup new international locations.

Handle office management function such as office supplies, team building, recognition rewards, and tuition reimbursement.

Required Skills

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business or related field or equivalent in education and experience required; continuing education to maintain up-to-date HR knowledge required; experience in talent management practices and organizational development desirable; relevant professional certification desirable.

7-10 or more years experience in HR with expertise in the full range of HR functions; multi-country experience and knowledge of country-specific legal, regulatory and procedural requirements preferred; experience working with high growth technology company preferred.

2-3 or more years supervising at least a team of two.

Proven hands-on experience in and a pragmatic approach to employee relations and talent management. Experience in conflict management and internal investigations required; experience in internal and external HR compliance audits preferred.

Excellent interpersonal, communication (written, verbal, phone) and influencing skills; solid analytical and consulting skills; must be able to quickly build rapport, maintain professionalism and work positively and credibly with a wide variety of people even under adverse conditions. Sound judgment and good decision-making skills.

Strong work ethic, initiative and tenacity; highly self-motivated, reliable in attendance, punctuality and delivering on commitments. Good planning, time management, and project management skills; must be able to juggle competing priorities and deliver against hard deadlines. Flexible and adaptable; functions well both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Skilled in the use of business and HR applications; highly detail oriented and adept at executing complex system-based processes. Note that Astreya uses Apple Macs and the Google platform for mail and standard business applications.

Able to travel on occasion with limited notice domestically or internationally.
