The Sr. Manager, Reporting & Accounting will oversee Smithsonian Channel's compliance with financial reporting, estimate requirements and CPA audits.

Specifically, you will :

. manage month close process including ensuring all appropriate entries are booked and required reporting is submitted

. record and create backup for all entries, update spreadsheets, create reconciliations and summary reporting

. manage monthly estimate process including creating forecast models, gaining management approval, coordinating with parent company regarding assumptions and preparing reporting and variance analysis

. manage ongoing preparation and compliance for annual CPA audit

. interact with ancillary business partners including Home Video, clip licensing, non-theatrical and provide recommendations for maximizing performance of these businesses

. prepare distributor analysis financial models

Required Skills/Experience
To qualify, you must have the following:

. 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience in the media industry, preferabl

e television . CPA . substantial experience with audit process and compliance

. Big Four accounting experience

. excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of constituents internally and externally

. strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task

. ability to operate in an entrepreneurial environment with shifting priorities
