Sr. Marketing Training Consultant
This position is responsible for developing content for Machine Application and Performance Seminars (MAPS) and Supervisor MAPS, delivering these courses, providing input for the development/enhancement of Salesman’s Toolbox (STB) Software applications and providing level 2 support for STB applications by working with customers, dealers and Caterpillar staff to resolve software issues.
This position is also responsible for serving as a consultant working with Product Groups, Industry Groups, dealers and customers to analyze job site productivity, improve production efficiencies and estimate fleet requirements.
The ideal applicant will have at least 10 years of experience in machine operation, supervisory experience and classroom/in the iron operator training in quarry/mining applications.
Travel could be up to 50% of available hours.
Applicants should have: strong presentation skills, at least 10 years
experience working in mines or quarries as an operator, supervisor and instructor with extensive knowledge of track-type tractors, wheel dozers, wheel loaders, motor graders, construction and mining trucks hydraulic excavators and front shovels.
Candidates should also have the ability to resolve application/fleet management issues by conducting job site analysis and productivity studies, the ability to recommend fleet requirements that will improve customer operating efficiency, the ability to become proficient in Caterpillar Salesman's Toolbox software packages including: Fleet Production & Cost, Earthmoving Fundamentals, Equipment Investment Analysis, Dozer Productivity Estimating, Motor Grader Calculator, Caterpillar Performance Handbook and Mine Equipment Investment Analysis, and application knowledge needed to deliver MAPS training for a variety of industries.
Applicants should have the knowledge/ability to: become certified as an operator and instructor on multiple machine families and provide input to support the development/review of training
content for Equipment Training Solutions and MAPS curricula.
