Sargento is looking to add an Analytics expert to our team with strong leadership, communication and critical-thinking skills to define, direct and bring to life marketplace research projects that support brand strategy.

Serve as the functional expert on the discipline and practice of marketplace measurement, applying sound understanding of current and emerging syndicated research techniques and tools.

Supervise performance tracking process, providing insights from key reports and responding to high-level ad hoc requests.

Lead advanced analytics solutions like price elasticity and marketing mix by aligning business objectives with study design, managing project execution and timelines, and developing and communicating actionable recommendations.

Manage tools for pricing, promotion and volume drivers’ analysis to guide business decisions.

Provide proactive consultation to Marketing, Sales, Finance, Demand Planning and senior leadership, demonstrating the ability to communicate insights in a way that influences business strategies and tactics.

Integrate and connect various types of syndicated data and research to ensure that key business analyses and measurements deliver clear, consistent insights across studies.

Identify and build new analytic capabilities and educate the organization.

Build and sustain strategic partnerships with outside vendors to maximize relationship synergies. Oversee day-to-day activities of the Nielsen on-site staff and on-call experts, ensuring high data quality and appropriate prioritization.

Occasional overnight travel required.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) required.

MBA or master’s degree in a related field (business or social sciences) preferred.

Minimum of 7 years CPG experience in market research, minimum 5 years working for a manufacturer.

Previous success in a position leveraging Nielsen and/or IRI information (scanner and household panel data and advanced analytics). Competency in data analysis software (e.g., NITRO, Answers).

Ability to explain complex analytical techniques and output in ways partners can understand.

Excellent project management, communication and analytic skills.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret research reports, general business periodicals and professional journals. Ability to write reports, presentations and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to communicate well with others both verbally and in writing. Strong computer skills are necessary for this position including word processing, spreadsheet, Internet, e-mail and presentation software.

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases.
