Purpose:
Provide strategic and technical direction for all of Mitsubishi’s North American Business systems. Manage and direct the software development, maintenance, and support of large scale projects and existing business applications.

Responsibilities:
-Develop overall strategic direction for business systems, in concert with the CIO/IT Department Leader and with business counterparts in order to provide optimal support that meets the needs of all business departments within the North America region.
-Develop strategies to implement new technologies that add value to the business application architecture. Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
-Manage on-going systems support and maintenance. Ensure all systems are fully operational and meet the system availability requirements. Ensure the data integrity of all applications. Manage problem detection through to resolution.
-Consult with North America Region business department management to coordinate business requirements, identify projects, forecasting staff, communicate project status, and resolve project issues.
-Manage development teams responsible for planning, designing, developing, and deploying Mitsubishi business systems, web-services and websites/portals.
-Develop, manage, and track project schedules and budgets.
-Develop and manage application development standards for all of Mitsubishi’s business systems.
-Provide technical direction and review of all work orders for outsourced business solutions and ensure architecture and technology standards are adhered to.
-Develop and maintain corporate relationships with many U.S. Dealer Service Providers (i.e. ADP, R&R, UCS, Arkona, Autosoft, etc.), and outsourced business partners.
-Manage electronic data integration solutions that comply with the industry standards.
-Manage staff development. Conduct weekly direct report meetings, monthly staff meetings. Provide coaching and mentoring to staff members, and informal/formal performance reviews.
-Select, manage, and release contract personnel.

Required:

-Fifteen years exempt-level experience in Information Technology including system design, development, analysis, and support.
-Five years in management of application development.
-Experience with Automotive Retail (Sales/Parts/Service) Systems, Financial & HR Systems.
-Advanced knowledge of System development methodologies.
-Extensive background in technical application architecture, planning and strategy.
-Advanced knowledge in IT project planning, estimating and managing procedures and techniques.
-Advanced expert in selecting, recommending, and implementing software solutions.
-Excellent oral and written communications/presentation skills.
-Exceptional people skills, fostering an environment of outstanding customer service.
-BS/BA degree in Business Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

-Experience with diverse business applications systems and technologies.
-Knowledge of wholesale automotive industry applications
-MA/MS/MBA degree or equivalent.
