Overall helps identify and prioritize targeted customers in the grocery deli, determines specific customer needs, helps develop Sargento solutions for these needs, and sells these solutions to the customer. Additionally, manages sales activities of SCS Division by performing the following duties.

Customer problem solving and needs identification.

Uncover new customer opportunities and different solutions to current customers.

Proactively initiates projects, with Business Development Manager, for selective customers.

Participates in cross-functional team that develops projects into products.

Develops, coordinates, and implements strategic sales and marketing plans to selected major multi-unit accounts as well as new market/segment initiatives as assigned.

Develops new customers with Business Development Manager, leads cross functional teams to develop custom product solutions to meet customer needs.

Assists in preparation of annual and long-range marketing and sales plans for assigned customers.

Assists in budget recommendations and regularly monitors performance.

Helps refine SCS strategy and approach as we gather new learning.

Conducts customer visits to achieve corporate plans and to develop positive relationships with established/target customers.

Represents company at trade association meetings to promote corporate goals.

Prepares reports, recommendations, and analysis of assigned customers and competitors including trend analysis.

Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.

Responsible for assigned customer volume, profit and overall development

Manages subordinate managers as assigned. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Current/valid driver's license required. Up to 60% travel.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university required.

Seven to ten years sales related experience and/or training required.

Beyond sales experience, important to have some R&D or culinary experience and deep understanding of culinary, R&D development.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
