Essential Job Responsibilities
We are searching for a senior level Oracle Applications Database Administrator to join our information technology team to share the following responsibilities.
Primary responsibility is implementation and support of over 20 large and medium sized production databases
Additional responsibility includes performance planning and execution of improvements, capacity planning, applications stability and availability
Proactive analysis and recommendations on monitoring and performance
Responsible for tuning, patching, backups/recoveries and cloning
Education & Work Experience
Our ideal candidate for this position will bring to Pella the following combination of education, experience, and qualifications:
Minimum 5 years experience in Oracle database administration in 10g/11g
Proven experience with Oracle performance tuning, including SQL Trace, TKPROF, AWR and OEM.
Extensive DBMS tuning including expert level skills with Oracle SQL and PL-SQL
Thorough understanding of physical Oracle databases including: table partitioning, clustering, materialized views, b-tree, and bitmap indexes.
Experience with RMAN and Dataguard
Experience on HP/UX and Linux.
Experience working with UNIX shell and batch scripting
Strong trouble shooting and root cause problem resolution skills
Requires strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred additional qualifications:
Prefer hands on experience in installing, upgrading, cloning, and patching multi-tier Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12 Applications
Prefer experience with the following Oracle Products: Oracle Application Server, SOA, PeopleSoft, OBIEE, and WebCenter Suite.
