Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Pharmacy Strategy and Analytics:
Responsible for the design of advanced pharmacy analytical tools and standardization of pharmacy analytic processes.
Provides oversight and direction of industry trends, drug level unit costs and changes in MHA/PHS status.
Leads monthly analysis of actual utilization and cost trends, revenue reconciliation, drug pricing review and provide performance improvement recommendations.
Develops and evaluates processes to identify inappropriate drug pricing and claims data for potential action; provides analysis of grant and Ryan White Audits.
Responsible for development of Drug Pricing Analysis.
Responsible for analysis of pharmacy client refill trends to better project sales revenue.
Responsible for Insurance Contract Reimbursement review and analysis to maximize reimbursements.
Internal Management Consulting:
Provides support, cooperation and expertise to pharmacy leadership and senior executives.
Identifies improvement opportunities at the national level to support achievement of operational and financial objectives.
Translates new business challenges into innovative and effective process improvement programs.
Proposes and assists implementation of strategies to mitigate financial impact including purchase monitors, reprocess of historical invoices, and credits and re-bills, etc.
Responsible for identifying cost management strategies that will lower drug cost.
Serves as key liaison with external vendors in evaluating contract, drug pricing, and reporting tool improvement.
Works collaboratively with Pharmacy Operations, Accounting, Finance, and IT to ensure corporate analysis standards and data governance standards.
Leads a cross- functional partnership of finance, accounting, and IT to develop a portfolio of integrated pharmacy analysis and reporting in support of the expansion of pharmacy business.
Develops processes and programs in cooperation with Accounting necessary for accounting and accurate reporting of Pharmacy Revenue and Costs of Goods.
Coordinates Pharmacy monthly close processes, account reconciliation, accounting classifications, revenue adjustments, in accordance with generally- accepted accounting principles.
Leads monthly reports for Pharmacy revenue and related Cost of Drugs. This includes monthly reconciliation between Pharmacy source data and the accounting system.
Development and review of COGS mapping by line of business; develops the Revenue and Cost logics in cooperation with Accounting, Pharmacy Operations and IT.
Planning and management of inventory valuations, reconciliation and explanation of variances.
Manages inventory accounts, revenue reconciliation, and Co-pay trends for the production of year-end adjustments.
Produces information and analysis in support of external audits.
Pharmacy Budgeting and Planning:
Facilitates, monitors, and coordinates the budgeting process with Pharmacy Management.
Responsible for development of budgets for new Pharmacy locations.
Responsible for development of new financial models for new Pharmacy business opportunities.
Presentation/ Interpersonal Skills:
Ability to present to all levels of the organization.
Ability to collaborate with all other Departments within AHF including other Finance sub-groups as well as Managed Care, Pharmacy Management and Healthcare Center Operations.
Participation in AHF Meetings/Committees
Attends AHF meetings as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from top tier university in business, accounting, or other finance related field is required. Minimum of 5 year's experience, with a minimum of 3 year's experience in pharmacy finance or accounting with progressive responsibilities.
Computer/Software Skills & Abilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills, Advanced Access Database skills, and high level of skill with Database mining. Accounting Software skills are a plus.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Very High Skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Very High Skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Other Skills & Abilities/Qualifications
Must have strong interpersonal skills.
Expert level skills in Excel required.
Intermediate/Expert level skills in Access preferred.
MAS-90/MAS 200 skills preferred.
Crystal Reports, FRx Financial Reporter, or other report tool skills preferred.
