Safe and efficient design, manufacturing and customer support of labeling machines specifically used in the Heat Transfer Label industry. They understand and align business operations and machine engineering as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following .

Aids in production machine design and development.

Provides solutions for field technicians and customers.

Develops application profiles for cam and servo based label application machines.

Conducts machine prototype testing.

Reviews BEE Forms and provides final approval.

Assists in setup, testing and final inspection of new equipment.

Inspects and assures accuracy of assembly drawings.

Provides IT Administration for Engineering workstations, BEE database and Engineering software.

Directs work of contract engineering firms.

Conducts training seminars for various internal and external customers.

Perform other duties as required.

2-10 years experience in mechanical product design. (Years change depending on formal education.)

Must have experience in CAD.

Design of Servo Control Systems.

2-4 year degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar strongly preferred.

Strong Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet skills.

Metal forming and material properties.

Quality oriented and Customer focused.

Ability to work with a sense of urgency.

Must work well independently or in groups.

General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.

Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail.

Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.

Occasional awkward arrangement or movement on or around equipment/machines.

Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.

Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.

Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
