Sr. Product Definer Maxim Integrated Products -
San Diego, CA
This position is responsible for defining integrated
circuits and solutions for consumer products (cell phones,
music/video players, digital still/video cameras, PDAs, medical
electronics, etc.). Job
duties include investigating new product ideas, defining product
functionality/specifications, assisting design engineers in
generating device architectures, communicating with customers
regarding system issues/requirements, and writing application
notes/articles/design ideas. The product definer’s focus is
studying new markets and product proposals, evaluating ideas,
converting promising ideas into definitions and following the project
from concept to finished silicon. This position requires close
cooperation with the customer which requires travel.
Requirements:
Experience in design of high volume consumer
products with emphasis on portable products.
Familiarity with typical interfaces on portable
devices (USB, I2C, UART, SPI, MIPI)
Prefer knowledge of a broad number of topics
including power supplies, audio, digital devices (microcontrollers,
memories, parallel/serial interfaces), PCB layout/ schematic capture
and system issues such as ESD and over voltage/current
protection.
At least BSEE and 7+ years of relevant
experience
Excellent communication skills
