The Senior Product Manager responsibilities include:|
To develop, coordinate and administer analysis of market and competitive secondary data, primary market research, marketing plans, objectives, critical success factors, strategic initiatives, tactics, forecasts, and budget activities related to assigned product(s).
To identify risks, competitive and environmental threats to branding objectives and developing contingency plans.
Provide strategic direction based on analytic thinking to support the growth of appropriate prescription and dollar sales while optimizing profitability.
Work with Agency of Record to ensure the proper implementation of tactics in statement of work is on time and within budget.
Principal Accountabilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Develop marketing strategies and tactics for assigned product(s).
Taking on new responsibilities including leading an innovative market research project and working directly with BBU sub-teams such as Medical Research,
Public Affairs, Sales, and Sales Training.
Create and coordinate the production and development of promotional materials to fuel assigned product's tactics and strategies.
Write bulletins and make presentations to Sales Department communicating marketing objectives, strategic initiatives and tactics.
These bulletins may include market-specific information on competition as well.
Conduct pre- and post-marketing field investigations and evaluations to obtain
the following information:
New sales aid impact
Sales force perceptions
Analyze market research data to keep track of market trends. Work with market research, agency, and other internal stake holders monthly to track new product introductions and develop plan of action to address competitors such as:
Development of sales, production, and savings program forecasts for assigned product(s)
Develop all marketing tactical initiatives, when possible, with the intent of measuring ROI
in order to determine program effectiveness and if adjustments are needed
Oversee projects from a financial perspective, incorporating the use of data to make
commercial decision on the promotion of Butrans.
Undergraduate degree required, advanced degree preferred.
Required Experience & Technical Requirements
Prior pharmaceutical marketing experience or agency experience working with pharmaceutical clients required. Prior pharmaceutical sales experience preferred.

Thoroughly understand all product benefits and effectively communicate them.

Ability to speak effectively to communicate market plans with multiple functional groups. This includes small group presentations or public speaking to large audiences.
To effectively coordinate multiple tasks and responsibilities.
To effectively prioritize and implement.
To effectively communicate with various functional groups to develop and implement marketing plans.
Analyze data for effective use in forecasting, marketing analysis, and budget presentations.
Organize and lead product development teams and task force groups to more effectively and efficiently bring new ideas and products to the market.
