DESCRIPTION

The Senior QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring a high level of quality for hc1.com products. The individual will be working with the rest of the R&D team to develop, publish, and execute test plans. The individual will be able to develop test cases, both from a functional specification and in a managed exploratory manner. The individual is also required to provide feedback to product architects on functional specifications.The individual will be required to have effective communication skills, willingness to travel occasionally for key customer meetings, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and the ability to understand quality assurance, integration and connectivity concepts.

DUTIES

Contributing to successful release of hc1.com products, ensuring that all quality targets are met.Defining, developing and executing quality assurance practices and procedures. Acting as a subject matter expert on hc1.com products.Creating and reviewing product test strategies, test plans, and test cases.Coaching and mentoring junior Quality Assurance Engineers.Developing and maintaining knowledge of hc1.com products.Testing new features and functionality and reporting defects.Developing automated test cases using in-house tools, commercial tools, and scripts. Tracking quality assurance metrics.Ensuring that all items follow the change management process and are entered and tracked through the change management tool.Troubleshooting software application problems.Maintaining test environments.Participating in software specification (requirements and design) reviews.Occasionally supporting the sales and services process, including Support of solution architects, implementation engineers, and clients.Resolution of technical customer issues and level-three support of customers and software partners.Delivery of pre-sales technical support

QUALIFICATIONS

A four-year degree in CS, MIS or related field, or equivalent experience.6+ years of software testing experience preferably testing multi-tier J2EE applications.Experience using common iterative and agile development methodologies.A thorough understanding of the concepts and components required for software interfaces and integration.Demonstrated, excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.Excellent analytical skills.Strong people skills.Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and methodologies.Ability to work both independently and in small team environments.Experience in using open source testing frameworks such as HttpUnit or JMeter a plusExperience in using commercial testing tools such as WinRunner and IBM Rational Test Manager a plus Primary Technologies Used: Java Eclipse IDESQLXML & Web ServicesOpen source technologies based on open standardsAbout hc1.comhc1.com, the world's leading healthcare cloud company, is experiencing triple digit annual percentage growth in the vast, rapidly growing healthcare market.
