Job Description
Dematic Quality has an immediate opening for a Quality Engineer IV. The business title is Sr. Quality Engineer. The candidate must have a successful background managing an international supply chain base with proven supplier development skills.

Job Family Responsibilities:

Works closely with Dematic Purchasing, Development and Manufacturing to develop, implement product supply chain. Approves suppliers for strategic accounts, develops and implements product sampling procedures for recording, evaluating, and reporting supplier quality and reliability data. Assures all parts received from sources meet Dematic specifications, regulatory and base qualification requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for Supplier qualification assessments, first article PPAP’s, annual supplier evaluations, CAR and SCAR improvements, and performance scorecards. Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices independently. Displays a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high impact, complex, and/or cross functional problems.

Education:

Typically BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree. Certified CQA/CQE preferred.

Knowledge and Experience:

Proven success in applying complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. (example FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, and Gauge R&R) Typically 10+ years of successful experience in related field with 5+ years international experience. Posses the ability to interpret, understand, and communicate Mechanical and Electrical drawing sets. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.

Direction of Others:

Provides general guidance or train support and/or professional staff.

Key Working Relationships:

Primarily intra-organizational contacts and external contacts.

Job Family Responsibilities:

Develops and facilitates training on QMSTs. Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops systems for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data. Conducts economic implication analyses, prepares reports of findings and carries out complicated implementation and training assignments. Develops and provides guidance to multiple operations for QMST. Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

Performs advanced areas of work for the professional field. Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices independently. Displays a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high impact, complex, and/or cross functional problems.

Education:

Typically BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree. Certification may be required in some areas.

Knowledge and Experience:

Demonstrates and applies comprehensive knowledge of field of specialization to the successful completion of complex assignments. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. Demonstrates significant knowledge of organizations business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues. Typically 8-10 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.

Provides specialized guidance or train support and/or professional staff. Leadership qualities and role model qualities demonstrated.
