Job Title

: Quality Engineer

Job purpose : To implement Manufacturing Line Quality control processes and metrics in Silicon Valley including IQC, OQC, and Vendor Quality

Specific Responsibilities include:
  • Work with mechanical module & tooling design groups to ensure Quality of transceiver modules
  • Work with PCB/PCBA design groups to ensure Quality of transceiver modules
  • Implement, maintain and measure performance against established standards (5S, 3M, Six Sigma etc.)
  • Establish process control methods (such as SPC) for all critical process parameters. Work closely with entire module design group, and support the team by providing appropriate dFQ reviews, committing to development schedules, and meeting project milestones
  • Specify, select and qualify new process equipment interact with component and equipment vendors, establish specifications and set expectations for vendors.
  • Generate/maintain Quality documentation for new processes
    Analyze process capability to drive improvements to ensure high quality and yields
  • Participate in all internal audits activities
  • Provide effective Quality training for manufacturing staff as required
  • Must be able to work closely with offshore facilities
Skills and Requirements :
  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable field-related work experience, 3-5 year experience in quality engineering
  • PCB and PCBA Quality, troubleshooting experience is a MUST
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with all levels throughout the organization
  • Experience working in both pilot line and manufacturing environments
  • Certified in ISO 9001:2008
  • Dependable, disciplined and well-organized planner
  • Must have a commitment to excellence, the ability to anticipate change and create innovative solutions
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once with the knowledge and experience to effectively prioritize
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a professional and effective manner
  • Must be self-motivated and enjoy working in a rapidly changing and communicative environment
  • Excellent, innovative and efficient problem solving skills
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs and familiar with various ERP systems
  • Six Sigma experience desired but not required
