SENIOR REVENUE Accountant Trulia Finance | San Francisco Reporting to the Director of Finance and Accounting, you will lead in the creation and maintenance of all general ledger revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable activities related to our media business.

Responsibilities:
Participate in month end close process and ensure all necessary adjusting and recurring journal entries are completed in timely manner

Ensure proper accounting of media revenue in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and stated Trulia corporate policy

Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis

Prepare monthly billing activities

Manage accounts receivable process including collections, aging, bad debt allowance, and cash receipts

Review and analyze media contracts and manage credit check process

Develop processes and procedures to increase efficiencies as well as strengthening internal controls around Sarbanes-Oxley documentation and compliance

Produce variance reports and other analytics for executives

Communicate with co-workers, management, and others in a courteous and professional manner

Other duties as requested or required

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university (required)

4+ years of experience

Hands on experience with the revenue cycle including revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable

Computer skills and competency with Excel

Good interpersonal skills; poise, tact and diplomacy

Ability to write, speak, and present clearly and succinctly

Ability to multi-task, plan, execute and deliver on projects in a timely manner

Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment

CPA certification

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the on-line media industry

Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce.com

USA public company experience, particularly in a SOX-controlled environment

Work independently and as a member of the team

Detail oriented and organized

Ability to work in a fast paved environment and the ability to tolerate ambiguity

Strong desire to tackle new challenges and projects with enthusiasm
