Job Description:
We have an immediate opportunity for a Sr. Revenue Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate is professional, highly motivated and has the ability to function well in a fast paced, dynamic organization.
Responsibilities:
Perform monthly revenue close procedures, including journal entries and monthly reconciliations.
Assist with the development and maintenance of routine analytics, including variance and trends in revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable
Review organizational billing practices to ensure invoice accuracy and proper revenue recognition.
Assist revenue manager with review of contracts. Provide direction to sales organization prior to contracts being concluded, and prepare revenue recognition checklist to ensure GAAP is properly applied.
Maintain recurring revenue system processes, reporting, and data controls.
Support, modify, upgrade, and maintain existing revenue systems to accommodate changing business requirements on an on-going basis.
Modify previously created data analysis queries, or create simpler data queries from scratch.
Maintain SOX and operational controls around tools and data sources including access controls, data quality controls, and change controls.
Provide end user/management reporting and analysis, plus special projects and requests as assigned.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have strong data management, analytical and technical skills.
In addition, the ideal candidate will have a strong foundation of basic accounting and data reconciliation knowledge.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP revenue recognition rules
Advanced user of MS Excel, and moderate experience with MS Access databases and queries
