Bachelor’s degree in a technology related field, such as Computer Science or Engineering (i.e. Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, etc.) from an accredited, four-year college or university. As described above, experience can be substituted for a degree at the sole discretion of the Government.
At least 3 years SE work experience in using and implementing Signal technologies At least 3 years work experience in System Engineering including the application of the System Engineering philosophies and principles to produce real-world, global systems At least 2 years SE work experience in working with Quality Assurance and Configuration Management efforts and programs At least 2 years SE work experience in managing system requirements and system requirements processes is highly desired At least 2 years SE work experience using IT component monitoring and management, dataflow management and/or unit and systems level monitoring and management tools (highly desired) SE work experience with the Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) preferred Experience developing program code and system interface code in a Windows operating environment
Experience with automated software installation procedures and deployment in a disturbed environment.
SE experience using the UNIX, LINUX, and WINDOWS platforms SE experience using the DELL and SUN platforms SE experience using the Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project, and Access)
SE experience using monitoring tools such as native SNMP agents, CI Agents, Big Brother, HP/OVO, HP/NNM, Nagios, Commonview, Topview, CA Unicenter, and Maxview is highly desired SE experience using CISCO and DIGI network products is desired but not required SE experience in designing and implementing system utilities using scripting technologies and languages such as PERL, Visual Basic, and JAVA Script is highly desired
