We are looking for a Software Engineer who will work as a part of the Customization Support Group (CSG) within Teradata Applications Research and Development to support our Production Customers. Engineers operate fairly autonomously with moderate direct supervision. Team members in this role will work directly with clients and are expected to exercise sound judgment within defined best practices, and to always engage a client with the highest levels of professionalism and integrity.

A CSG Engineer is the owner of Production issues reported by Customers with Customization or Integration developed on Teradata Application’s IMM Solution. CSG Engineers will advise customers on product and infrastructure issues, provide thought leadership in the design of infrastructure, product and supporting systems, and then execute the necessary solutions by leveraging our toolsets, writing custom code or producing product fixes, following best practices.
Assume responsibility for troubleshooting and maintaining live Customer AMS environments. Exercise sound judgment within defined policies and procedures to determine appropriate action.
A minimum of a BS in Computer Science or related discipline
At least five (5) years experience in a business environment (consulting, Big 5 and/or marketing) with specific focus in software implementation, processes and/or project based experience
Ability to travel ~10% of the time.
Demonstrable competency in using standard desktop applications for word processing, spreadsheets, desktop publishing, and project management
Demonstrable competency developing source code in C# and .NET. Suitable candidates should also have demonstrable proficiency with either SQL Server or Oracle
Proven experience debugging and troubleshooting software-related issues
Must have experience working on small and midsize projects
Must have experience working with single product/multiple platforms
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a small team environment
Strong time management skills and multitasking abilities
Proficient oral, written and presentation skills
Business adeptness in client facing situations

Experience with HTML/XML and Java Script receives additional consideration
Engineers must become certified in either MRM (Marketing Resource Management) or MCM (Multi-Channel Campaign Management). Exams must be taken through Teradata training within the first 60 days of employment.
