Manage the entire Solution life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities. This is a cross-functional role which touches various Ooyala groups -- internal and external -- and which directly impacts the products, services and partnerships which Ooyala makes available to its customers.


Co-maintain vertical-targeted Solution Maps with Ooyala’s Product Marketing group. This requires reviewing inbound RFPs / RFIs and conducting Analyst interviews to identify areas of product, services and/or partnership investment.

Co-lead “build, buy, or partner” decisions for existing and non-existing Solution components.

Work with Business Development to identify and integrate service and technology partners.

Work with Ooyala’s Customer Services Org to create and maintain Professional Services deployment templates per vertical-targeted Solution. This includes templatizing how a Solution is priced, deployed and maintained.

Work with Solutions Marketing to create collateral to market vertical-level and point-level Solutions.

Enable Sales and Sales Engineering efforts to position and sell Ooyala’s Solution set. This will frequently require direct participation in pre-Sales efforts.

Ability to accommodate 20%-30% travel (Both Domestic and International).


A bachelor's degree in CS, CE or EE or equivalent work experience.

Experience leading complex integrations spanning multiple technologies, vendors and internal Ooyala cross functional teams.

Ability to own and drive both tactical (“In the weeds”) and strategic (“30,000 ft level”) initiatives.

At least 4 years of product, program or project management experience at a company in any of the following industries:

IT (Web or Online Technologies) Consulting, Online Media, eCommerce, Content Management, Mobile, Online Advertising and/or Online Gaming.

Previous experience with Broadcasters or Operators is a plus.

Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to juggle multiple deadlines at once.

Strong oral and written communication skills – capable of working with internal and external personnel at all levels and varying degrees of technical background.
