PURPOSE
The Senior Staffing Specialist is responsible for building an on-going candidate pipeline through strategic development, research and sourcing. There is a high focus on creative sourcing to generate qualified applications for human resources for in-demand positions company-wide.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops staffing requirements by studying organization plans and objectives, conducting proactive business development efforts, and discussing needs with the Human Resources and Management teams.

Collaborates with the Human Resources team to determine staffing strategies.
·
Leads generation of new sources of applicants by promoting company recognition and sourcing through direct recruiting, social media/web research, referrals, networking and communication with local organizations.
·
Screens applicants and assess fit of a candidate for a role. Provides qualified applicants to Human Resources for final interviews.
·
Creates open jobs in the company Applicant Tracking System and follows it through the recruiting process to capture all information needed for compliance with Affirmative Action, OFCCP and other employment laws. Works with NABS to post jobs on the company HUB.
·
Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices based on monitoring job offers acceptance and declination and understanding the local market.
·
Ensures that all pre-employment references and background checks are completed timely and accurately for all candidates identified by Human Resources.
·
Travel Requirements: 10 - 25%
·
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
·


Education: Bachelor's/University Degree
·
Work Experience: 5-7 years in human resources; 3+ years in a high volume Recruiting/Sourcing role, preferred experience in trucking and/or manufacturing industries
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED
·


A thorough knowledge of the recruiting process, with specific knowledge in the Trucking industry, manufacturing industry and similar industries.

Knowledge of DOT requirements.
·
Strong customer service orientation and the ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce across multiple organizational levels.
·
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
·
Excellent time management and problem solving skills.
·
Ability to engage others professionally and diplomatically on sensitive issues.
·
Ability to work with enthusiasm in a challenging, fast-past environment
·
Computer Skills: Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes.
