The vision for this position will eventually see you branch off of the Shared Services Team, to see the inception of a newly formed Storage Team. Storage touches every part of our internal architecture and should therefore have its own resources. Until the storage team is formalized the majority of your time will be spent working to make sure all storage servers are properly configuration managed/automated.
You will also lead investigation into any break-fix storage issues that come up (e.g., Latency, load spikes, any major customer impact). You'll work with a team of energetic individuals who are passionate about making (mt) one of the leading innovators in the Web Hosting industry! This team is a fast-paced environment, so you won’t find yourself standing still here.
We are an agile (think: dev-ops) team, so we have a daily standup meeting in the morning. Some of our first projects in the pipeline for the new position are helping to finalize complete configuration management (e.g., puppet) and plotting out our GEN 5 storage systems deployment.
