Primary Purpose of this position:|
Responsible for 2nd shifts (3PM to 11PM, Monday through Friday)manufacturing key performance indicators. Must be able to solve problems and make good, timely decisions, exhibit company core values, and be a change agent for continuous improvement. With the assistance of Group and Area Leaders, be able to effectively manage a cross-functional group of colleagues in all 3 production areas of the Fem Care department.
Supervise and coordinate all related operations activity in the Fem Care department on 2nd shift and provide direction/leadership in the achievement of established goals.
Maintains working knowledge of schedules, safety, quality, cost, material utilization, and efficiency/OEE.
Develops and coordinates production/maintenance schedules and manpower planning.
Analyze costs, material utilization, and inventory levels to resolve variances. Develops necessary controls to monitor these areas.
Optimizes flexibility of human resources, processes and equipment (Man, Method, Machine).
Directs day-to-day support services, including maintenance, to insure continuous and effective production operations.
Understands and directs safety and housekeeping and environmental initiatives within assigned area.
Provides direct leadership to ensure conformity with Energizer policies and work rules.
Understands and champions team initiatives.
Promotes, understands and directs Lean Manufacturing efforts.
Demonstrates a pro-active and creative approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
Leads and/or facilitates improvement efforts/special projects related to Safety, Quality, Lean, Production, etc.
Promotes high level performance of hourly associates including performance appraisals.
Skills and Abilities Required:
Ability to work 2nd shift, and other shifts as necessary.
Computer skills: SAP, Microsoft Office, Excel and production data systems.
Good technical understanding or mechanical skills
Proven track record in leading, coaching and developing people in a manufacturing environment.
Proven track record of leading manufacturing process improvements and scrap reduction efforts.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Good oral and written communication skills
Strong presentation, facilitation, leadership, and project management skills.
Experience and Education Required:
4-year college degree in Operations Management, Engineering or other appropriate fields or equivalent.
5+ years of Supervisory experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
QSR/GMP knowledge is a plus
Experience and knowledge or use of Lean principles or techniques
