Responsibilities includes for the set up, configuration, and supporting internal and or external networks. Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Troubleshoots network performance issues and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan. Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
Provides technical support and guidance to users. Manages Client Server technology projects that impact company operational efficiency. Organizes own work and manages projects. Works under supervision of Network IT Manager.
Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time. Key AccountabilitiesIdentifies potential problem areas and develops solutions. Serves function as technical resource for departmental and company wide IT solutions. Coordinates and/or performs additions and changes to network hardware and operating systems, and attached devices (e.g., routers, bridges, backup devices, repeaters, modems).
Analysis of systems to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications to include investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation, and testing of new network hardware and software. Provides direct support in the day-to-day operations on network hardware and operating systems; duties include evaluation of system utilization, monitoring response time and primary support for detection and correction of operational problems. Documentation, testing, creation or modification of computer programs related to operating systems as needed. Troubleshoots at the physical level of the network, working with network measurement hardware and software, as well as physical checking and testing of hardware devices; at the logical level working with communication protocols.
Participates in planning design, technical review and implementation for new network infrastructure hardware and network operating systems for voice and data communication networks Managing the website and keeping internal networks running including but not limited to: Load balancers, DNS, Domain Names, Certificates, EMC Sans, VDI, ESX, Windows Active Directory, Windows Server, Linux, Phone System, Google Mail, Google Apps, and web servers. On-call at all times including vacations and holidays. Responds to alerts in a timely manner. Lead in purchasing hardware and software.
Including but not limited to servers, firewalls, monitoring equipment, operating systems, phone lines, phone equipment. Assist in programming and troubleshooting the phone system as needed. Experience on Reporting Services, Integration Services and Analysis Services is a plus Assist in bringing Jr Infrastructure Team members up to speed on new technologies and current infrastructure.
