Sr. Technical Product Manager
The Sr. Technical Product Manager
supports da Vinci minimally invasive surgical system development from concept
to launch. This includes facilitation of the product roadmap, user research,
product and feature proposals, market requirements, product requirements,
shepherding the product through development, user testing, and hand-off to the
product marketing rollout team. The Sr. Technical Product Manager has a
detailed understanding of the customer-facing features of the da Vinci system,
instruments and accessories, as well as a solid grounding in the underlying
technical implementation. The Sr. Technical Product Manager represents the
voice of the customer (business needs) and the voice of the user (user needs)

Roles and Responsibilities
This position has responsibility and authority for:

stakeholders to strategically support the business goals of the company.

as well as tracking competitive products and emerging technology.

Proactively communicate with senior management on the product development
status and product quality issues both informally and through formal
decision-making during the development process and ensure that the new
product designs are aligned with user needs, business needs, and
established design principles.

4 years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager
desired with a history of defining and launching excellent products.
degree in Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or demonstrated
experience of bringing highly engineered products to market is highly
with minimally invasive instruments and accessories desired. Medical
device experience is highly preferred. Combination of hardware and
software based development experience is preferred.
knowledge of general surgery market is highly preferred.
written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting
