Position Title: Sr. Technical Services Representative

This position provides technical expertise while working with Operations, Customer Services, Marketing, Sales, customers, etc., as appropriate, on specific performance parameters on the product lines (Aqua Kote, Pearl Kote, and Containerboard). The position will oversee and lead the optimization of quality, variation reduction and cost factors critical to customer product needs. This position reports to the Manager, Continuous Improvement.
Coordinates technical liaison services between management, production department, sales department and customers with newly developed techniques or practices in processing company product: including, timely communication of new types, specifications and end-uses of products to customers
Confers with production department managers to assist in specific classification of products from quality assurance position, report on new product or process technology of competitors, and to discuss new specifications required by customers
Directs investigation of customer complaints regarding quality, tolerances, specifications and delivered condition of products
Records, analyzes and informs concerned personnel of production quality assurance and sales departments of status and disposition of customer complaints and claims
Negotiates settlement of claims, for which company is responsible, within limits prescribed by management
May survey potential markets for increasing sales
Highly effective communication skills, strong leadership skills i.e. relationship building, commands a business and technical presence, demonstrated computer skills (SAP), and executed project management skills
BS Business, Engineering or related degree
Advanced business or technical degree and formal training/certification in project management preferred
5+ years’ work experience paper board manufacturing or converting strongly preferred
