Description:
The Technical Support Analyst provides problem solving, analysis or technical support on business and on-line software issues. Supports client technical departments or specific external users on all aspects of customer reported technical problems or questions during installation, conversations, or complex data issues. Deals directly with customers to ascertain problems and assist in resolving them to strive and build and maintain strong customer relations and partnerships. Troubleshoots problems and contacts other technical groups for consultation as required. Documents system defects.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:
Record and maintain customer reported questions/problems in incident tracking system - 10%

Recreate, troubleshoot, and resolve customer questions/problems in a professional and timely manner. - 60%

Provide status to external users and internal staff on a timely basis - 5%

Manage a workload of technical support issues on a timely basis - 5%

Schedule, run, and troubleshoot batch jobs - 10%

Receive training / learn new technologies. - 5%

Train/mentor junior personnel - 5%

Requirements:
Bachelors in Computer Science or Relevant experience.

Excellent communication skills .

Two to five years experience in Java, J2EE and WebSphere. Experience with Oracle, SQL Server and/or Sybase required.

Preferred Skills:
Certified WebSphere Application Server Administrator
