ACIST Medical Systems
Performs specified engineering support activities under the guidance of an Engineer related to development of IVUS catheters, product and performance testing, and continuous improvement of the manufacturing environment. Supports the catheter R&D department to design, diagnose, repair, and manage the R&D lab.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Supports the design engineer to develop catheters
Supports engineers in the implementation and deployment of product and process improvements and design transfer activities, including training of production operator staff.
Uses established standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and work instructions (WI’s) to carry out the non-conforming material report (NCMR) process for physical dispositions, repairs, rework and completes appropriate reporting and documentation.
Initiates documentation changes and provides redlines (proposed changes) to maintain the product information structure. Communicates issues and opportunities to engineering department to ensure bill of materials (BOM’s), prints, process, forms, records, etc. are relevant and up to date.
Performs product inspection, testing, and product release activities to ensure quality and conformity.
Identifies inventory and production order needs by utilizing both the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and physical product levels in the warehouse
Tests and debugs electrical / mechanical assemblies.
Performs failure analysis of returned product. .
Performs product verification product builds..
Performs simulated use and performance testing of product.
Sets up and maintains production floor materials and equipment, e.g.; assembly equipment, tooling, test equipment, etc.
Performs test fixture design, validation and training of production operator staff.
Performs in-process inspection of product and final inspection of finished product
MFG / Production Transfer:
Performs hands-on activities such as product assembly and product testing to support the schedule during times of transition and increased demand or change implementation.
Aids in the coordination of tooling and equipment essential for production and inspection processes
2 year TechnicalSchool degree.
5 yrs experience in a catheter R&D environment performing technical and administrative duties.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills.
Problem solving skills with the ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
Ability to interpret, follow and promote the quality policy of the organization as an operating guideline.
Ability to work within established guidelines and standard operating procedures.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Moderate level of computer experience including MS Office Suite.
AA or certificate in a technical trade
6 + yrs experience in a variety of manufacturing and or R&D environments
Vietnamese language skill
Able to travel to Vietnam for extended periods (4 weeks maximum)
