The primary purpose of this position is to lead the middle office compliance requirements for Dodd Frank for both Treasury and Energy Operations including verification, confirmation, reports, management controls and analyses.
Analyze reports and take appropriate action to ensure that middle office compliance requirements for Dodd Frank are met.
Work with traders, marketers, brokers, back-office, counterparties, Office of General Counsel, contract administration, senior management and others to identify, reconcile and resolve discrepancies and disputes to meet compliance requirements.
Coordinate and facilitate audit requests with both internal and external auditors and assist with management testing and quarterly compliance functions.
Monitor and document compliance with controls associated with the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley.
Provide assistance and back up support to other team members as needed.
Candidates must meet the basic qualifications to receive consideration.
BS or BA degree.
MBA or professional certification desired.
The Senior Trading Controls Analyst must demonstrate good interpersonal skills including excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
The ability to develop partnerships with line management and a desire to work in a team environment.
This individual must show strong conceptual and analytical skills with an ability to readily identify key control issues and risks and develop strategies or recommendations to improve operations.
The Senior Trading Controls Analyst must demonstrate strong computer skills including the ability to use MS Excel, MS Word and MS Access with Oracle database experience desired.
This individual will assist with special department projects focusing on improvements to the control process relating to energy activities.
The Senior Trading Controls Analyst must be a results-oriented individual with a demonstrated record of accomplishments, strong customer orientation, demonstrated commitment to business ethics, adaptable to a changing environment, a self-developer and the ability to develop others.
