May supervise and coach a team of Vendor Business Managers

Develop and facilitate profitable partnerships and strategic management of the vendor relationship

Drive the business for a particular software vendor or project within a business unit

Develop business plan, value propositions and new business initiatives

Champion key projects or programs

Act as a resource to the department as a mobile software vendor expert

Recommend new opportunities for incremental sales

Offer feedback on the competitive landscape

Accountable for the profitability of assigned vendor line(s), business segments or projects

Provide input on promotions, product launches and suggestive selling

Responsible for managing purchase discounts behind the line monies (BTL), automated cost over-rides (ACOPS), vendor rebate funds (VRF) and rebate collections

Negotiate terms and conditions, rebate structure and buy-in and deals

Act as a primary category manager for mobile software solutions

Education: Bachelor’s degree required

Four to seven years related software industry experience

Must be able to negotiate favorable terms and conditions

Project Management experience required

Knowledge of mobile technology products and distribution channels

Knowledge of general computer applications (Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel) required

Strong contract negotiation skills

Proven experience in developing business plans

Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Strong presentation skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and understand/communicate complex financial data

Ability to implement recommendations and see projects through to completion

Excellent problem solving, time management and organizational skills

Travel: up to 30%
