Reaching over 600 million users worldwide across 1.6mm+ sites across the web, they are changing the economics of online publishing by creating a market of influence across the Web. They allow users to share content from anywhere to anyone while simultaneously enabling publishers and advertisers to tap the value of sharing. They rank in the top-5 of ComScore rankings for U.S. audience reach.
They have experienced significant growth both in adoption by site publishers and share actions by users. The business end involves developing informational insights from data that can be used in online advertising models. The company has grown revenue since the last quarter of 2010. We completed 2011 with $11 million in revenue and expect to bring in $30 million+ in 2012. Our advertising customers include Toyota, Best Buy, Victoria's Secret, Macy's, and Hertz to name a few.
You will be part of a team chartered with design, implementation, and delivery of the consumer experience including web site, widgets, and mobile; including new social experiences. This is a key initiative for the company since it reflects our presence with users; as such garners significant visibility at senior levels. The position will report into the Director of Engineering.

Idealized Candidate Profile
- Innovative Product Development: The successful candidate will be responsible for innovating and shaping our web presence that benefits consumers, publishers, and partners. You will conceptualize product components, technology architecture, implementation and integration between various systems within the company that will collectively work together to deliver a solution. Much of this involves significant innovation in user experience and "breaking new ground" in creating innovative interactive experience for users delivered on our web-site, and through distributed content delivery mechanisms such as widgets, mobile, Facebook/mySpace apps, REST API's etc.
- Product Rollout: They are accumulating significant amounts of data through the sharing activity by users across the Internet. The product plan is to derive interesting insights from this large dataset and build several innovative products/services that allows users to discover new and relevant content (e.g. recommendations) based on their interest and social connections. You will work with Product Management and other technology groups in defining and implementing the planned features. You will be responsible to drive an iterative approach to rollout in testing, refining, and improving features based on audience response.
- Business Integration: There are a number of ways to develop and grow our web experience such as web containers that deliver content to users on other sites, and new innovative Ad Units that actively engage users when visible on partner properties, to name a few. You will develop collaborative relationships with our Business Development & Sales teams to help analyze and scope solutions that impact our customers.
The idealized candidate is most likely to be a hybrid: part creative/part architect/and part builder. This needs to be a candidate that is clearly passionate about user experience, and social media.
B.S/M.S in computer science from a leading school or related technical discipline
The ideal candidate is likely to come from a company involved in web portals, social networking, or related web 2.0 services.
