Our client, a Supply Chain Management Company seeks a Senior Windows Administrator for their corporate headquarters location near Belleville, NJ. Job Description: The Senior Windows Administrator plays a vital role in the general business operations. This individual should be comfortable working in an organized and structured environment, be able to continually provide knowledge and feedback to other team members, be willing to learn from others, provide leadership to others, and assist in developing and following system support processes and procedures. Candidate should be a results-driven, detail-oriented self-starter possessing strong interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service and documentation. This individual should possess the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, adjust to changing priorities and different personalities, and work independently as well as part of a close-knit team. Responsibilities: - Document, plan, design, implement, support, maintain, and monitor all aspects of an enterprise Microsoft-based environment. - Collaborate on the integration of new technologies through close teamwork with network, security, application developers and application support teams. - Leads, and is personally accountable for, high profile project timelines and milestones. - Responds to operations escalation tickets promptly and documents solutions. - Interfaces with equipment and software vendors regarding the testing, support, and future of their products. - Develop and implement processes to automate and standardize routine engineering tasks. - Develop and maintain an expert working knowledge of existing and new systems and applications. - Investigate and document new technologies, tools and methodologies to improve system stability and reliability, and advance systems administration procedures across all teams. - Assists in defining policies and procedures in the areas of Systems Management, Monitoring, Systems Administration/Security, Build Standards, and Server Build Automation. - Work with the architecture team and other partner teams to implement new and updated technologies. - Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel. Qualifications: - 7+ years of hands-on systems administration, support, and operational experience in a medium to large enterprise. - System Center (SCCM and SCOM) deployment and infrastructure knowledge including troubleshooting, design, and implementation experience - Windows server/application performance trending and health monitoring. - Knowledge of Active Directory 2008 including but not limited to GPO, schema, and best practices. - Sold understanding of SAN/NAS storage systems and their integration with server applications NetApp FAS. - Solid understanding of LDAP and be able to program or script for LDAP administration and management. - Solid understanding of administration scripts and languages such as Powershell or VB. - Thorough experience with medium-sized Sharepoint 2010 farm administration - Experience with VMWare - Understanding of network load balancing concepts. - Understanding of remote desktop management tool such as TeamViewer. - Sold understanding of SAN/NAS storage systems and their integration with server applications NetApp FAS. - Sold understanding of backup and recovery technologies with Tape Library, VTL and Iron Mountain - Solid understanding of security as it applies to Microsoft technologies. - Knowledge of Lync environments. - A commitment to continuing education to strengthen skills and broaden expertise. - Systematic trouble-shooting and problem solving skills. - Server 2008 MCSE or later preferred.
