Veris Group, LLC has a need for experienced Information Assurance Engineers to join our growing company and expanding information assurance service offering. To be considered for this position, the candidate must be available to work in Ft. Meade, MD and have an Active TOP SECRET/SCI Security Clearance. There may be limited travel involved.
Summary of Duties:
Serves as the key coordinator for technical and configuration management working groups.
Designs, configures, reviews, or defines security requirements for complex networks, enterprise architecture, computer systems and environments, which may include mainframes, networks, servers, workstations, and personal computers.
Designs, develops, reviews, engineers, and/or implements solutions that meet security requirements. Responsible for integration and implementation of the computer system security solution.
Gathers and organizes technical information about an organization's mission goals and needs, existing security products, and ongoing programs in computer security.
Performs evaluation and risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development lifecycle.
Writes reports, meeting minutes, and other documentation and gives presentations as necessary.
Coordinates, facilitates, documents minutes, establishes and maintains agendas and schedules, develops briefings and gathers information for the working group meetings.
Develops a Concept of Operations for working group functions related to the review and evaluation CND items.
The IA Engineer-Senior candidate must have at least six (6) years of experience in the IA industry, needs to be DoD 8570 IAM/IAT Level III compliant, and needs to have a BS degree in a relevant field. The candidate must have experience leading IA teams and lower level IA staff in the engineering of solutions to complex IA issues related to computer network defense (CND).
The IA Engineer-Intermediate candidate must have at least two (2) years of experience in the IA industry, needs to be DoD 8570 IAM Level I compliant, and needs to have an AA or AS degree in a relevant field. The candidate must have experience developing architecture and documentation to support solutions for complex IA issues related to computer network defense (CND).
IA Engineer-Senior candidate - A bachelor's degree in IT or IA field, and the CISSP (or Associate), CISA, or GSE certification.
IA Engineer-Intermediate candidate - An AA or AS degree in an IT or IA field, the Security +, A+, Network + or SSCP certification (or any of the certifications that are listed for the Senior candidate).
